Show Notes

Join me today in a conversation and prayer of repentance for racism in our country. We look to men like Daniel and Ezra who were not afraid to call out the sins of their ancestors and repent on their behalf. They lived with integrity in their generations and are examples for us to do likewise.

This episode adapted from the article of the same name: Repenting for Racism by Alexis Busetti

Speaker 0 00:00 We shouldn't be afraid to apologize for the sins of our parents and our grandparents, our forefathers, and even our neighbors apologizing on their behalf. Doesn't mean that we're to blame, but it does mean that we are holding ourselves accountable to live with integrity in the midst of those consequences. We can see this outline in the Bible. There are men like Daniel and Ezra who recognized the sins of their ancestors, and they saw that the current situation of their nation was a direct result of how their forefathers lived before them.
